Permitting Has Become a Strategic National Capability
For decades, permitting was viewed primarily as a regulatory function - a necessary process that projects navigated before construction could begin. Whether the project involved energy production, transmission infrastructure, transportation systems, mining operations, manufacturing facilities, or commercial development, permitting was generally considered an administrative requirement rather than a strategic capability.
Today, that perception is changing.
The United States is entering a period of unprecedented infrastructure demand. Artificial intelligence is driving massive growth in hyperscale data centers. Electrification is increasing pressure on generation and transmission systems. Domestic manufacturing is expanding. Critical mineral development has become a national priority. At the same time, governments at every level are attempting to modernize aging infrastructure while maintaining environmental stewardship, public engagement, and regulatory oversight.
Each of these priorities shares a common dependency: the ability to permit projects efficiently and effectively.

Improving customer experience requires improving coordination and understanding across that ecosystem.
