What is the Pepperdine Most Fundable Companies list?

The Most Fundable Companies® list is an annual program from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School that recognizes early-stage U.S. companies with strong investment readiness. Applicants go through a multi-phase assessment that scores financial projections, market opportunity, intellectual property, competitive advantage and management team advantage. Submissions are reviewed by investors, venture advisors and Pepperdine faculty.

"Being named a Most Fundable Company is a significant achievement because these companies have been evaluated against many of the same fundamentals that professional investors consider when assessing opportunities," said Craig Everett, PhD, Executive Director of the program, in Pepperdine's announcement.

Why was data² selected?

data² was recognized for a problem nearly every enterprise now faces: companies have invested heavily in AI, but most cannot scale it across the organization. Their information sits across dozens of systems, and an AI answer that cannot be traced to evidence cannot be used for a decision that faces an auditor, a regulator or a board.

"Getting an answer is easy. Defending it is not," said Jon Brewton, founder and CEO of data². "Being selected from more than 2,100 companies, on the same fundamentals investors use, confirms what our customers already tell us: enterprise AI cannot scale until its decisions can be traced and defended."

What is reView?

reView is data²'s patented decision intelligence platform for regulated enterprises and government agencies. It works as a decision layer across the systems a company already runs:

  • Connects existing systems without rebuilding them, bringing in only the data each domain needs.

  • Scales AI across the organization, not in isolated use cases.

  • Returns a Decision Record™ with every answer: the evidence, the rules applied, any conflicts and the confidence behind it, traced back to the source.

  • Built on U.S. Patent 12,339,839 for hallucination-resistant reasoning.

reView runs in production at ATCO and other highly regulated companies and defense and intelligence agencies, and is built into ATCO Edgeworks, a deployable, sovereign edge infrastructure platform. Explore the reView platform.
